Over
90% of all the medicines of the world come out of the fauna and flora of the
rainforest. The Cecropia and
Javilla trees are ground and used as a powder for medicinal purposes.
Another tree is being used to
experiment
with diabetes. The redwood, teak,
and mahogany trees are magnificent structures that are used all over the world
for beautiful furniture. Do you chew Chicklets gum? Fruit and nut trees abound—cashew trees with red nuts,
banana trees, coffee trees on the side of 2/3,000 foot mountains, and chocolate
( cocao) trees.
